Is it a known bug, or am I doing (or not doing) something? I like my xterm windows to be 80x40 characters. When I run less, it seems to think the window is only 80x24 lines. The info page talks about the LINES environment variable, but setting it to 40 doesn't change the behavior. Maybe it's not a less problem because the standard bash window doesn't have this problem, but an xterm window started with xterm -geom 80x40 -e bash - does. I'm using the pre-compiled X distribution from ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/cygwin/xfree/xc-4/. Any advice appreciated... TIA. ---Vladimir Vladimir G.
