jpeg-6b-3 is ready for testing at

(not using sourceware for test releases -- it's hard for folks to get
them from the private directories since they're not mirrored).

Changes from 6b-2:

o follows new naming scheme for dlls:
   /usr/lib/libjpeg.dll.a (import lib)
   /usr/lib/libjpeg.a     (static lib)
   /usr/bin/cygjpeg6b.dll (dll **)

(**) versioned dlls are the default; only extremely stable libraries
(like zlib) have unversioned dlls.  We use '6b' and not '6' because jpeg
changes its interface even between minor release (e.g. 6a was ABI
incompatible with 6b)

Installation:

Download jpeg-6b-3.tar.gz and either:
  put it in an empty directory with setup.exe
  run setup (install from local directory)
or
  unpack from '/':  cd / && tar xvzf jpeg-6b-3.tar.gz
