I have also had problems with this if I didn't use a command prompt from the "start | run" menu, ie if I start a dos prompt from PowerDesk or Object Desktop. I think it might have to do with those programs caching the environment settings. I don't know if that helps at all, but give it a shot.... :) Thanks, Frank Merenda | Senior Software Engineer VetExchange | http://www.VetExchange.com fmerenda AT VetExchange DOT com "Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." -- Roger Caras > -----Original Message----- > From: Noel L Yap [mailto:yap_noel AT jpmorgan DOT com] > Sent: Wednesday, July 12, 2000 2:03 PM > To: cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com > Cc: Cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com; Cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com > Subject: Re: mount failed > > > No, this didn't work. > > Noel > > > > > cgf AT cygnus DOT com on 2000.07.12 13:47:12 > > Please respond to cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com > > To: cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com > cc: (bcc: Noel L Yap) > Subject: Re: mount failed > > > > > On Wed, Jul 12, 2000 at 11:20:04AM -0400, Noel L Yap wrote: > >>From both an MSDOS Command Prompt and a bash shell, when I > 'mount -b c: /', I > >get "mount failed: Invalid argument" even if I've previously > umounted the > >directory.
