It's easy to reproduce. For example "Ctrl-B" works, "Ctrl-Q" and "Ctrl-S" not. This may be related to the special meaning of that control codes (XON/XOFF) in terminal cooked mode. However, I wonder why that happens. AFAIK, vim is working in raw mode, isn't it?
