There is a gnu package indent
from any gnu mirror or ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/indent

I think it compiles ootb (.configure...) on cygwin

hi,

I could swear I've seen mention of a code beautifier utility that comes
with cygwin or is a gnu software but I can't find it now.

It's a utility that you run your .c files through and it adjusts the
indentations
and commenting to look clean and consistent.
