I went thru the installation process (via setup etc). The installation process goes thru without any problems. However, when I try to use any program from the bin dir (even ls) it takes an awfully long time to finish. Even "ls" seems to take atleast a few seconds (upto 10 secs at times) to finish. Similar times are observed w/ running bash. It seems that the time delay is quite independent of the program being run -- something that makes me suspect the cygwin.dll. Needless to say, this has prevented me from using this version. I had experienced similar problems w/ cygwin-1.1.1. I have found that my 1.5 yr old Cywgin-B20 works "normally". (Please note that I DON'T have two versions of cygwin on my computer -- I went thru the painful process of installing the new version (over the modem), only to uninstall it and install my old version back) Could anyone please shed light on this? It will be quite good to move to the latest cygwin release. Thanks! Srinivasa Valiveti __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Kick off your party with Yahoo!
