I broke `less' with the previous termcap entry. The problem appears to be that either `less' or the termcap library expects there to be a setting for `sr' (terminfo `ri') for scrolling text down. You can fix it by adding "sr=\EM" to the termcap file and "ri=\EM" to the terminfo file. Modified versions are provided below. I had left it out because ncurses's `lrtest' gets hosed after a few seconds if it's set, but that's the only program I've seen have trouble. That might be attributable to a bug in cygwin, a bug in ncurses, or a bug in `lrtest'. Sorry.
