I am unable to duplicate this problem, no matter how I try (i.e., setting HOME to "/" from command.com, then starting Bash, everything works fine. Unsetting HOME, then starting Bash however resulted in error message about it not being set.) Chris, Could you send any patches for Bash that you might have? I want to make sure that I have not messed up something.
