I think that it may be caused for the mknod failure. Someone there that has a complete set of instructions about installing=20 tape support in order to using it with tar will be very useful. nt 4 svpack 6, ide disks intel mboard, ati-vga and yamaha olp on-board colorado floppy tape, that works fine with linux and ftape driver. thanks.
