No, it's this clause (in section 3) in the GPL that allows that: "However, as a special exception, the source code distributed need not include anything that is normally distributed (in either source or binary form) with the major components (compiler, kernel, and so on) of the operating system on which the executable runs, unless that component itself accompanies the executable." Not much you can do here. The authors of FlightGear obviously want their efforts to be used in certain ways, and if you wish to use them in conflicting ways, you're out of luck.
