Thanks to Michael Hirmke, the CygUtils site
(http://cygutils.netpedia.net) is now mirrored at the following
location:

ftp://ftp.franken.de/pub/win32/develop/gnuwin32/cygwin/porters/Wilson_Charles_S/

Now, those who wish to download software via ftp, instead of http, can
do so from his site (since netpedia does not offer anonymous ftp). More
importantly, download times may improve for those on the "other side" of
the Atlantic. All together now, "Please use the mirror closest to you."

For those who aren't familiar with the CygUtils site, please check it
out. You will find precompiled versions of many popular packages, such
as perl-5.6.0, rpm-3.0.3, and a usr-local bundle. Patchkits, sourcecode,
and build "recipes" for each package are available as well. The "V1.1"
tree contains software for use with the Cygwin CD, the recent
development snapshots, and the most recent net release (dll version
20000301), while the "B20" tree contains software suitable for use with
the old net release, B20.1. (Don't try to mix'n'match -- it won't work;
especially perl-5.6.0 will not work with older cygwin dll's).

P.S. Accessing
"ftp://ftp.franken.de/pub/win32/develop/gnuwin32/cygwin/porters/Wilson_Charles_S/index.html"
from within a browser should allow you to navigate the mirror site just
as if you were accessing the main website, even though ftp.franken.de is
ftp-only. AFAIR, all links are relative. If you discover an absolute
link that takes you back to the main cygutils.netpedia.net site, please
let me know.
