These tools and objdump have made it easy to unbundle DLLs for making static archive .a files for linking. I have an .LIB file that it these tools cannot decipher. The error message is "File format not recognized". Is this an older DOS file format? Is it worthwhile using an object from this type of library? John Huddleston, P.E.
