Names must start with a letter (either upper or lower case) or an underline,followed (optionally) by more letters, numeric digits or underlines. Also 2.04 will have programmable completion, see the postings from Chet which I have saved at http://members.xoom.com/tbisp/cygnus.htm This is a very interesting thing, type 'cd ' then hit TAB to get completion of ONLY the directories!
