It worked out of the box for me (98-02-12 version 2.4), though I reduced the default font sizes - which may however be OK for 1280x1024 and up, and has been for the last 18 months. Much educational value can follow from the command tkinfo gcc & The only feature missing for me is copy-to-clipboard (and presumably select-text would be nice).
