User mode access is _definitely_ going to be much easier, albeit quite more limiting. As of the usefulness of an ext2 IFS, remind NT can map UNIX/POSIX attributes (NTFS does the reverse). Shame the Micro$oft folks don't document its structure just like they did for Win9x - maybe we should suggest the OSR or PCAUSA people to demonstrate their toolkit by providing an ext2fs for NT 4.0 _AND_ Win2k demo (read only might be still useful)...
