Hi all

slightly off-topic, but can someone please explain to me
the connection between
libtermcap.a,
libncurses.a,
/etc/termcap and
/usr/local/share/terminfo/*

since the days of configure scripts, it's kinda hard to know *what*
the script's sniffed out and using !
