Has anyone managed to get gdb 4.17.1 (in b20.1, NT4, SP3) to attach to a
process (or be able to run programs that use terminal ioctl calls)? If so,
how!!!

I'm loathe to go back to the good old days when you sprinkle printf
statements through your code to isolate a problem.

Also, I don't want to belabor a point, but what the heck do you do with the
friendly core files created, eg,
