Is it possible to make a program to run on background? I'm playing with fork but i can't get it to work. I want the program to work on both, unix and windows... If someone could give me an example of... for example, a program that starts, goes to background (so i get the $ on my promp), and on the background it counts from 1 to 2000 (of course it is going to finish on a millisecond, but it just as an example :) Thank you Joaquin Grech -- --------------------------------------------------------------- !
