From: gpasa AT omedia DOT ch (Guglielmo Pasa) Subject: statically linked dll ? 17 Nov 1998 01:31:52 -0800 Message-ID: <3650ADEC.6FBB8477.cygnus.gnu-win32@husky.ch> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit To: "gnu-win32 AT cygnus DOT com" Is it possible to build a native win32 dll without needing cygwin1.dll. I mean, I built a dll following the method to build a relocatable dll. But when I build a application and link it with that dll it still requires cygwin1.dll in the path. Even if I build everything with -mno-cygwin. Is there a similar switch for ld or dlltool to build a "static" dll. -- Sincerely yours, Pasa Guglielmo ------------------------------------------------------------------ ¦ homepage: http://www.omedia.ch/pages/gpasa/ ¦ ¦----------------------------------------------------------------¦ ¦ e-mail : gpasa AT omedia DOT ch ¦ tel. : +41 (0)24 485 50 40 ¦ ¦ mailing : Pasa Guglielmo ¦ fax : +41 (0)24 485 50 44 ¦ ¦ Rte des Cases 17A ¦ ¦ ¦ CH-1890 St-Maurice ¦ prof.: physicist ¦ ¦ (Switzerland) ¦ ¦ ------------------------------------------------------------------
