On the other hand, a simple solution would be to put the location in the environment. DJGPP does something like this to locate a file that contains a lot of information needed to run software compiled under DJGPP. How do you mount it on c:/root/b19/etc/fstab for example, assuming the root is at c:/root/b19 ? Perhaps the location of fstab can be hard-coded like c:/root/etc/fstab.
