There currently isn't a _FREE_ version of sh; although I've been working on porting bash. I do have fileutils plus others ported though. The package name is mingw32-sup.1.0.tar.gz and you can find it at ftp://ftp.franken.de/pub/win32/develop/gnuwin32/mingw32/porters/Boyd_Earnie/ The gnumake that comes with cygnus should suffice for the make. If you don't have the MAKE_MODE variable set then it will understand the native paths just fine. If you prefer, there is a native version you can find via Colin Peters' page. You can also find a native GCC from there. BTW, the functions within the CRTDLL understand both "\" and "/" as path delimiters. ---Kurt Stephens wrote: > > > I've been using cygwin32 stuff for a while now, but due to the way that cygwin32 changes pathnames to '//C/..' and does not recognize '\' pathnames well (both are causing major problems with other native tools), I need a native NT port of gnumake, sh and the fileutils (I don't need GCC, just make, sh and fileutils) that does not use the cygwin.dll. I have not been able to find any native NT gnu ports on the web. Can someone point me in the right direction? > > BTW: cygwin32 stuff is great, keep up the good work! > > Kurt A.
