From: jamin AT dnai DOT com (Benjamin Wolin) Subject: Why does bash need a network connection??? 4 Apr 1998 19:53:00 -0800 Message-ID: <35253340.C63C93DB.cygnus.gnu-win32@dnai.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit To: gnu-win32 AT cygnus DOT com Hi, I just installed b19, and when I run bash, it prompts me to connect to my ISP. Why is this? What is being logged? When I am connected, typing bash from a ms-dos prompt definitely causes network traffic. Any insights into this would be greatly appreciated.
