hey,

anyone heard of these problems?

1) i have a makefile that contains the line:-

rm -f $(LW_FILES:.lw=.html) *~ *.web

This line removes every one of the files in the directory,
including the makefile itself, regardless of the file
specification. What gives? If I swap the *~ and *.web parts,
it works fine! If I run it in b18.x it also works fine...

2) the make tool included with b19 doesn't make lines that
include cp *.gif ...

These problems make me feel like there's a problem with
wildcards in b19 somewhere - any hints?

3) whoami reads from the list of windows nt users, not from
my /etc/passwd file - can i stop that?

BTW my system is Win NT v 4 with servicepack 3, running
b19.1 cygwin
