From: gpasa AT omedia DOT ch (Pasa Guglielmo) Subject: gcc -v "\" and "/" 2 Nov 1997 14:09:31 -0800 Message-ID: <345D0952.F14F94A.cygnus.gnu-win32@omedia.ch> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit To: gnu-win32 AT cygnus DOT com I noticed that when asking gcc to display its version it answers telling the directory where it looks for specs as /gnuwin32/b18/.../gcc-lib\$gccversion\specs why does it use "\" around $gccversion instead of "/". It uses the same conventions for libs and headers. Isn't it uncoherent. it should always use "/" or always "\"(the first is better!) -- Sincerely yours, Pasa Guglielmo ------------------------------------------------------------------ ¦ homepage: http://www.omedia.ch/pages/gpasa/ ¦ ¦----------------------------------------------------------------¦ ¦ e-mail : gpasa AT omedia DOT ch ¦ tel. : +41 (0)24 485 50 40 ¦ ¦ mailing : Pasa Guglielmo ¦ fax : +41 (0)24 485 50 44 ¦ ¦ Rte des Cases 17A ¦ ¦ ¦ CH-1890 St-Maurice ¦ prof.: physicist ¦ ¦ (Switzerland) ¦ ¦ ------------------------------------------------------------------ - For help on using this list (especially unsubscribing), send a message to "gnu-win32-request AT cygnus DOT com" with one line of text: "help".
