If you are running MV, you will get lots of fork() failures, because MV tries to scan stuff as it gets loaded into memory, causing the initialization of the fork() target to be delayed, which causes bash's process control to choke. Just running autoconf configure scripts, I would get grep, egrep, fgrep, gawk, and tr to crash constantly. Two consecutive runs of configure would never yield the same results. +------------------------------------+--------------------------------+ | Tom Greer | | | Systems Administrator | | | Automatic Funds Transfer Services | URL: http://www.afts.com/ | | Seattle, WA | | +------------------------------------+--------------------------------+ - For help on using this list (especially unsubscribing), send a message to "gnu-win32-request AT cygnus DOT com" with one line of text: "help".
