The original sources to gzip are available on Internet as prep.ai.mit.edu:/pub/gnu/gzip-*.tar." I've never had any trouble using it to Gunzip and Untar files, it MUCH easier to use if you only want some files, and very easy to p[lace the files where you want, using the archive directories if you want, or not using them. - For help on using this list, send a message to "gnu-win32-request AT cygnus DOT com" with one line of text: "help".
