I don't know if older cygwin.dll's can be used with newer executables created by GNU-WIN32 or vice versa, but from my experience with such things, I would strongly recommend that. The include and library file names would stay the same, but refer to a specific cygwin??.dll. This could prevent some problems for programs built by GNU-WIN32 when distributed as binaries. As you may know, other libraries already use that mechanism (e.g. vbrun300, mfc40, ...). Any opinions? -ulrich. ************************************************** Ulrich Kreuzeder Research Institute for Microprocessor Applications Johannes Kepler University Altenbergerstrasse 69 A-4040 Linz Austria Phone: ++43 (0) 732 / 2468 - 437 EMail: kre AT fim DOT uni-linz DOT ac DOT at ************************************************** - For help on using this list, send a message to "gnu-win32-request AT cygnus DOT com" with one line of text: "help".
