Have you tried changing your shell
(chsh if it is on your system, otherwise edit /etc/passwd
and change the shell for your username).

                                          ^^^

You will need to make sure the shell is listed
in the allowed shells file (/etc/shells).

Not sure what would be best if you don't
have a /etc/passwd... (I might add one, but
someone else may know a better way).
