Not quite; I meant "recent snapshots" indicating that the problem
currently exists in CVS, which is what I've been running recently.

I did go back to 1.7.7 and it is affected as well, but not 1.7.6.  None
the snapshots between these two releases (IOW from 20100818 to 20100829)
are affected either, so it must have been one of the changes in the
20100901 snapshot *before* the 1.7.7 release.
