The mingw64-i686 cross toolchain set has been uploaded to the Cygwin
mirrors. It is used to build 32bit Windows applications and programs.

As with all software releases, it may contain bugs, please report bugs
to <mingw-w64-public [at] lists.sourceforge.net>.

Notes:

Avoid calling the cross compiler as /bin/<exec>, where <exec> is the
compiler frontend such as i686-w64-mingw32-gcc, this will cause GCC to
fail. This is a known issue.

Instead call it as /usr/bin/<exec> or just <exec>. In the latter case,
you'll need to make sure your PATH has /usr/bin searched before /bin,
this is normally the case with Cygwin.
