  Or use one of /usr/bin/set-gcc-default-3.sh or
/usr/bin/set-gcc-default-4.sh, which saves learning the syntax and makes sure
that all the related language compilers get switched at once (though owing to
a packaging error in the current release you'll need to chmod +x them first,
doh, sorry about that!)
