When I log into cygwin 1.5 I get
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GNUCash@Elshadai /cygdrive/e/cygwin-new/bin
$ cygcheck --version
cygcheck version 1.90.4.1
System Checker for Cygwin

GNUCash@Elshadai /cygdrive/e/cygwin-new/bin
$ ./cygcheck --version
cygcheck version 1.123
System Checker for Cygwin

Compiled on Dec  7 2009

GNUCash@Elshadai /cygdrive/e/cygwin-new/bin
$ ./cygcheck -s -v -r

GNUCash@Elshadai /cygdrive/e/cygwin-new/bin
$
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I get output from the cygcheck in 1.5 but not in 1.7
From the windows command prompt I get
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E:\cygwin-new\bin>cygcheck.exe --version
cygcheck version 1.123
System Checker for Cygwin
Copyright (C) 1998 - 2008 Red Hat, Inc.

E:\cygwin-new\bin>cygcheck.exe -s -r -v

E:\cygwin-new\bin>\cygwin\bin\cygcheck --version

Compiled on Dec  7 2009

E:\cygwin-new\bin>.\cygcheck.exe -s -r -v

E:\cygwin-new\bin>
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I then did this from windows command prompt.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E:\cygwin-new\bin>move \cygwin\bin\cygwin1.dll \cygwin\bin\cygwin1.dll.keep

E:\cygwin-new\bin>.\cygcheck.exe -s -r -v

E:\cygwin-new\bin>move \cygwin\bin\cygwin1.dll.keep \cygwin\bin\cygwin1.dll

E:\cygwin-new\bin>
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Again no output from the 1.7 cygcheck

Is the cygwin1.dll from 1.5 still in memory and being accessed by the
cygcheck in 1.7 when I renamed it?

Am I correct in saying that I am not getting any output from the cygcheck
from 1.7?

How do you suggest I run cygcheck?

Yours Sincerely Stephen Grant Brown
