To whom it may concern

I have done several cygwin installs on both Windows XP and Vista systems. However this latest install on a Windows Vista 32-bit system, resulting cygwin windows is not giving me the same results. There are several differences, such as;
1. Path variable is not set to see "/usr/local/bin", "/usr/bin", "/usr/X11R6/bin", or "."
2. Resulting window is set at "/usr/bin" not in my $HOME directory.

Has anybody seen this situation before? If so, what can be done to correct it?

Thank you
Daniel
