Have you build Emacs configuring with auto-image-base enabled:


LDFLAGS='-Wl,--enable-auto-import -Wl,--enable-auto-image-base' \
    ../configure --prefix=${prefix_dir}

and 


make LD='$(CC)'

?

See the etc/PROBLEMS.

Search also the list for the problems of Emacs with the rebasing (caused
mainly by cygncurses7 with Emacs 21).


But perhaps your problems have another cause...
