  Looks like you typo'd the commandline invocation to me.  Those were supposed
to be options.  The syntax should be 

    cygcheck -svr

or

  cygcheck -s -v -r

but it looks to me like you put 

  cygcheck -s - v - r
               ^   ^
               |   |
bad spaces ----+---!
