Unfortunately, now that Microsoft no longer supports Win98, the cygwin
development team has decided that cygwin 1.5.21 is the last cygwin release
that even tries to support Win98.  You will find that unless you patch
this yourself, the bitrot in the Win98 support code will make an eventual
1.7.x release unrunnable on Win98.

Could it be a bad driver, such as a virus scanner or web cam, interfering?
