Looks fine.

Generally, a message to the list with "ATTN: cvs maintainer" or "PING:
cvs maintainer" is fine - personal mail to package maintainers is
discouraged.

On a slightly different topic, what is new in cvs 1.12 that you need?  I
haven't noticed (it's entirely possible they happened and I missed it)
any major revolutions in cvs in, oh, 8 years or so?
