Well, since you already said you would try to reduce it to a standalone
testcase, I think you can deduce that CGF's comments weren't directed
primarily (or necessarily at all) at you.

I actually read his post and thought it very helpfully described what
people in general who encounter a problem can do to help solve the
problem.  And when I was done, I thought "I bet he'll get jumped all
over for being so 'mean' to everyone".  Then I scanned the post again
and thought, "Nah, all Shirley will see that there's nothing 'mean'
actually there; he's not complaining about anything that has already
happened".  Guess your name ain't Shirley.
