  Heh.  Actually, it's because cygcheck, being a win32 program and not
linking against cygwin1.dll, always reports on the win32 environment.  But
in cygwin apps, doesn't the automatic conversion that goes on in
environ.cc/environ_init->posify->getwinenv just take care of it?
