Besides that, looking at ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/bash/bash-3.0-
patches/, I see 16 patches.  I hope all of those will be applied to a 
Cygwin bash 3.0 package.

Unfortunately, none of those patches appears to fix the extra-space-
after-the-prompt bug, reported at http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-
bugs/2005/03/25/0002.html.  I just built bash 3.0 from source, and yes 
it does compile OOTB, but the extra space bug, which was reported to 
have been fixed in 2.05, is back.  http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2003-
09/msg00926.html says the bug will be fixed in 2.05, but I haven't seen 
the patch there or anywhere else to fix it.
