I have been using setup for a long time with no ptoblem. Now after I
have selected my mirror it dies (just goes away with no error message
dialog).

Here's how the /var/log/setup.log looks after this fail:

2004/10/05 12:12:29 Starting cygwin install, version 2.427
2004/10/05 12:12:29 Current Directory: C:\Matt\cygwin
2004/10/05 12:12:29 Changing gid to Users
2004/10/05 12:12:29 Could not open service McShield for query, start and
stop. McAfee may not be installed, or we don't have access.
2004/10/05 12:12:42 Ending cygwin install
<eof>

Here's how it looked the last time it worked:

2004/09/14 11:05:29 Starting cygwin install, version 2.427

As I mentioned in a previous post, my windows directory changed from
gene to gene.us. But all my cygwin programs seem to still work. Could
this affect the setup program?

Thanks,
-gene
