How's that better than "you"?  My preference would be to add the 
OP's name but I can't get that for free without the possibility of 
getting the OP's email address if the post didn't include the name 
(it's a long story that's OT so you'll just have to trust me on what 
I've said above ;-) ).

Ah, OK.  Yeah, that makes the above more sensible.  I thought he was 
complaining that he couldn't post to the cygwin list somehow and/or
sometimes, which he clearly could. ;-)
