It's not outside of scope for this address.  It would be out of
scope for cygwin-apps...

You shouldn't post the maintainer directly *IF* the package
comes as part of Cygwin.  If it's something you've installed/
compiled, then contact them/their lists directly.

BTW, I've got the deubious honour of supporting /etc/profile... :)
(but please, don't email me directly ;)
