I already have a issue with the latest release that is why I mentioned
it.  the previous release works with the application (a deamon) under
development but the current release does not.
I agree that it should be compatiable but the app I am working on
has to work and my bosses would prefer that we have a standard 
release that is tested and is known to work with our tools and
code.  This does not seem to be unresonable to me.  I really 
did not want to get into this it just seemed like a nice
thing to have.   I will make our own repository and install from
there instead but it would have been nice thing to tell my boss.

I am not making a release of cygwin... no time for that.  I am working
on a internal use only test deamon for windows.  So GPL should
not be an issue.
