I put it there as an assist to another mailing list subscriber who
previously expressed interest in packaging netpbm as an official package
-- but he was waiting for the major changes that Bryan Henderson (real
netpbm maintainer) said were coming in version 10.

We're now at 10.2, and those major changes have occurred -- but so far,
the mailing list denizen hasn't followed thru.

I am not interested in maintaining netpbm as an official package. I'm
also not interested in answering questions about the package, or acting
as a "maintainer" in any other way. But, I'll leave that package up on
cygutils/testing until the putative maintainer follows thru...

It works for me, but (to put it bluntly) I don't know and don't care if
it works for you.
