Laptop, XP Pro, latest dll, take laptop home and use cached domain and all processes take ages. $ uname -a CYGWIN_NT-5.1 RHIANNON 1.3.11(0.53/3/2) 2002-06-23 22:31 i686 unknown Real time is 16s on anything requiring a fork() and works ok when we don't spawn. $time Nonsence -> real=0.5s In the system's application log I am getting the following. I'd normally ignore it but it might be useful in debugging... Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed to contact the active directory (0x8007054b). The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
