Since my two harddisks (34GB together) are complete full (about 4GB free space ar five partitions), I suggest it might be a problem because I never defragmented it a whole year long now. I didn't found a free defragmenter for my 'Loreley', which is my box at home. I found a defrag tool for my WS, but this tool refuses to work on NT Server (got a server, you can pay...). So it is s.th. hardisk IO related. I excluded several other causes with little registry fixes which always speeds up everything a little, but it is still three times slower as my box in the office. Anyone is aware of good defrag tool for NT4.0 Server? Ciao, Gerrit P.
