They have now been committed.  Even though Ralf has a pending patch to 
fix the memory leak bug, it hasn't yet been discussed much or tested by 
anybody else.

If you're willing, it's probably best to go ahead a release a new 
binutils now -- even though it may be necessary to do so again in a few 
days after Ralf's fix has simmered for a while.
