You think this is stupid luser behaviour?
You should check the UWIN mailing list.  Over the last few days, I think 
about 25 people sent a mail like "Please remove me from your list" to the 
whole list.  And not only does every single message have a footer with very 
explicit unsubscribe instructions, also several mails were sent to the list 
telling people not to do this.
