I've written a small tool to improve integration between cygwin and non-cygwin console applications. Comments, suggestions and patches are welcome. see http://www.logos-m.ru/~deo/ttyfier.html for details. ============================================================================== What is it? TTYfier is a tool for cygwin that allows running (and interacting with) non-cygwin console applications from cygwin console in tty mode (this includes running them remotely through ssh). NOTE: This tool currently works only on WinNT/Win2K (Windows 95,98 are not supported). Where can I get it? http://www.logos-m.ru/~deo/ttyfier.html Requirements: Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000. Cygwin version 1.3.1 or later. CYGWIN environtment variable must be set to tty. To run: Put ttyfier.dll and tfy.exe in any directory in your PATH, then type bash$ tfy cmd.exe This will start cmd.exe in "tty mode". You can also type bash$ tfy -p X to "attach" to already running console application with pid X. You must belong to the "Administrators" group to do the latter. Help on additional options is available by running tfy.exe without parameters. To contact me: Write to deo@logos-m.ru. ============================================================================== Egor. mailto:deo@logos-m.ru ICQ 5165414 FidoNet 2:5020/496.19 -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
